Ada Lovelace — Notes on the Analytical Engine, 1843

Ada Lovelace’s 1843 Notes (A–G) on Luigi Federico Menabrea’s Sketch of the Analytical Engine invented by Charles Babbage. Published in Taylor’s Scientific Memoirs, volume 3. The Notes are roughly three times the length of the translation. Note G presents a complete procedure for calculating Bernoulli numbers and is the usual candidate for the first published computer program. The text is public domain. This Relic is the published Notes, not a claimed physical volume in the collection. It is bonded to the Ada Lovelace Person Echo. It is not a chamber.
